Civil Engineer — Renewable Energy
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary Up to £44,000 - £57,000
This position will report to the Construction Manager. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar power plant construction, excellent technical and organisational skills, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and performance.
🔸 Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project design criteria and company standards.
- Review and interpret engineering designs and construction drawings, cross-checking for potential errors or inconsistencies.
- Support subcontractors during installation activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Report daily to the Construction or Project Manager on construction progress, materials received, and on-site issues.
- Track and manage construction materials, monitoring usage and stock levels.
- Communicate design changes and updates to subcontractors and ensure they are correctly implemented on site.
- Implement and oversee the project’s Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programmes.
🎯 Candidate Requirements & Skills
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Relevant experience within Utility-Scale Solar or BESS
- Strong technical competence and ability to interpret detailed engineering designs.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
